With this series, Bunker Projects aims to provide a platform for emerging Black artists to document the groundbreaking ways they and their practices have adapted and grown in recent years. We hope the series will provide new insights into the lives, minds, and practices of artists during this confusing moment, shedding light on the concerns of people living in it and their hopes for the future.
Each contributor is asked to select The Hand-Off 's next author and work with Review editors to revise their successor’s piece. In addition to acting as authors and editors, contributors are also invited to participate in the Bunker Talks series: live-streamed events featuring interviews with artists, performances, and readings. With this unique structure,The Hand-Off series is designed to de-center Bunker Project's institutional voice and grow organically, highlighting networks of Black artists and showcasing their unique perspectives and practices.
