MARCH 2018
Ceramicidal Tendencies is a ceramic group show organized by Chris Chaney presented by Bunker Projects @ Mr. Roboto

Ceramicidal Tendencies celebrates the parallels between the punk and clay communities by focusing on work that is unapologetic in form and decoration. The 16 artists featured challenge preconceived notions of what ceramic art is and should be. Like punk rock, the work can be loud, aggressive, challenging, engaging, and ultimately exciting. As new leaders in the clay community, these 16 makers are crushing established rules and inspiring younger artists just beginning their journey.
The exhibition is running in conjunction with NCECA 2018 and is being held at The Mr. Roboto Project (http://www.therobotoproject.com/), a cooperatively-run all ages DIY show space and sponsored by Bunker Projects (http://www.bunkerprojects.org/). Ceramicidal Tendencies will be open to the public March 14th thru 16th from 10am to 5pm and Sat. the 17th 10am to 2pm. The exhibition reception will be on Thurs. March, 15th from 5pm and 9pm, and will offer light refreshments.
Exhibiting Artists Osa Atoe, HP Bloomer, Sam Chumley, Chris Chaney, Blair Clemo, Brett Freund, Bianka Groves, Bryan Hopkins, Todd Leech, Kelly Phelps, Kyle Phelps, Jacklyn Scott, Talon Smith, Steve Théberge, Melissa Weiss, and Melissa Yungbluth.
Chris Chaney is a potter, educator, father, and husband based in the Chicagoland area.
