SOMA: SOLO Exhibition by Julia Betts
For this exhibition, Julia Betts investigated the boundaries and capabilities of the body through choices in material and process. Transient materials such as masking tape, string, and canvas acted as surrogates for the body. The show featured a site specific installation titled "Vessels," built from deconstructed garments that were meticulously grafted onto the gallery windows, exiting and re-entering the upper floors of the building.
