TeethDreams, 10/6/17 - 10/28/17 TEETH DREAMS was an exhibition by KING RELD, an artist, designer, and metal smith. The multi-media exhibition explored grotesque motifs of self-image and confronted how the notions that luxury, beauty, and gluttony often play into the subconscious realm. The show also featured work by other Pittsburgh artists listed below.
Large screen printed mirrors of collaborative works by Dave Watt lined the walls of the main gallery. Thick fog and blue lighting tickled models in the center of the room reclining on antique furniture for sale from Mahla & Co. Antiques. The models wore opulent gowns and wearables made by designers Elaine Healy and Aiden DiNardo to showcase the monstrous teeth grills sculpted and custom made with pearls and tusks by KING RELD. Surreal video installation by KING RELD and Keaton Manning. The opening was accompanied with music by A Low Rose Trellis. Comments are closed.
